Hi everyone, my name is Kendrick and I am currently traveling around the world for one year. So far I am five months in and staying in Vietnam.
I currently live in Canada but was originally born in the Philippines. Prior to travelling, I was working as a fitness trainer specializing in teaching seniors Osteofit class.
I decided to travel for a year because I hated the idea of working 9 to 5, get a house, get a mortgage, have kids, then retire and die. Not for me. I was also sick of working in the fitness industry and wanted to move on to the travel industry. I realize
I'll definitely get married and have kids one day but I don't necessarily want to stay in one country forever and working a "stable" job.
By traveling for one year, I force myself get out of the comfort of having a steady job and have to learn how to make money online through freelancing and having an online business.
I run a travel blog at: http://Kendrickuy.com and I also work as a travel blogger for two other blogs.
I've been to 27 countries and three territories during my lifetime. 21 of which I went to during my current one year round the world trip: Brunei, Cambodia, India, Israel, Jordan, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Australia, Papua New Guinea, Botswana, Egypt, Lesotho, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland, Zambia and ZImbabwe.
And 6 countries I went to before my trip: Philippines, Canada, Mexico, USA, Guatemala, and Jamaica.
I've also visited territories that I'm not sure where they belong: Palestine, Hong Kong and Cayman Islands.
My travel style is a combination of fast and slow. Sometimes, I am just in a country for a few days to just a few minutes and sometimes I am in a country for a month.
My goal is to visit every single UN recognized countries in five years time while building up sustainable location independent online business.
Thanks for reading.
That's me in South Africa on a boat doing Great White Shark Cage Diving. Highly recommended!
