What are your favorite places in Europe? For me Split, Croatia (and Dalmatia in general), Amsterdam, and anywhere in Italy
I LOVE Croatia and Italy. Definitely my favorites. Also like the Greek islands and a UK fan
Italy for sure. I'm pretty partial to Naples.
Prague and Tuscany! I don't think I'll ever tire of them!
Warnemunde, Germany is an absolute gem!! It's a seaside resort town along the water (in the north). It's very inviting, the locals are really friendly, and it's on the seaside. You can take the tram into nearby Rostock from here and that city is pretty cool (about twenty minute tram ride). At sunset I like to stroll around and buy fish and chips freshly caught and sit on a chair and people watch.
I loved Italy so much that moved there from the UK and now spend about 8 months a year around Lake Garda. I do however also love to spend time in countries like Switzerland with their wonderful views and fantastic cheese fondue.
Have you ever visited Lake Garda? - it is a stunning part of Italy to explore.
Like many others in the thread, Italy is also my favourite country in Europe to travel to. Particularly Tuscany. Being from London I can also recommend this awesome city!
Lake Garda was on the to-do list the last time we were in Italy! We unfortunately got too swept up in Naples to make it up north. Sadly.
Andalucia, south of Spain: I just love the white villages, the Al-Andalus culture and history, the fiestas, flamenco, the accent, ...
London for sure! I also loved Chamonix, France, but London just instantly felt like home.
I liked Berlin, because as their old mayor said "it is poor, but sexy" my favourite would have to be Budapest though, amazing vibe and friendly people- there's also that veneer of depression that coats the buildings. Hard to express in words, but I don't know a traveller who did not like that city.
Loved Venice, Italy. I'm a sucker for water cities and places without cars. Plus, the pasta and gelato really sealed the deal
Currently, Paris and Budapest!
Haven't been to any European countries, but have been dreaming of Croatia! <3
We are heading back to Italy later this year and were thinking of going to Cinque Terre. I just googled Lake Garda after seeing everyone's comments. It looks absolutely beautiful! Would you recommend it over Cinque Terre? If so, is there any particular area that is best to stay?
I personally prefer the Cinque Terre. Now, that is if you don't go during July-August, during which the villages can be totally overcrowded! Stay for a while iso just walking from village to village in a day. If you want some inspiration: http://www.myfeetaremeanttoroam.com/travel-guide-cinque-terre/
